Sabine Thompson and her English husband, Nick, settled some twenty years ago in Cairanne, a sunny little village located between Orange and Vaison la Romaine.
An attachment to terroir and a certain respect for a natural environment lead them to opt for natural cultivation and fermentation techniques. A new venture was recently added : holidays and the possibility of a confortable stay at the heart of the domaine.
L’Ameillaud winery lies at the heart of a vinyard covering some 35 hectares, planted on clay and limestone soils. Low output of between 30 to 35 hl/ha and a south to south-west outlook, opening to the Mistral, are favourable elements enhancing good maturity.
